Eryn & Bree – Family Photography

Sibling Photography, Wisley Surrey

Wisley Gardens has been a favourite haunt of mine since I was Bree’s age, so using it as a backdrop for a family shoot was truly lovely indeed. Lifestyle photography often focuses on the whole family but this time Kay asked me to focus on the friendship between lovely Eryn and her gorgeous little sister Bree. Bree had just begun to walk ahead of our session so I was incredibly impressed to see her toddling about at the tender age of one! We enjoyed exploring the grounds and all the pretty flowers, and had time for some bubbles before lunch at the cafe.

I love capturing the characters of little ones so much, all their curious face expressions, and watching how playful yet protective Eryn was with Bree. I never ask the children I photograph to ‘smile at the camera’, I focus on documenting them just as they are, and retaining the memory of their sweet nature. They grow up so quickly so it’s always lovely to be able to gift families with photographs of every day versions of their little ones.

Surrey Family Photography

I’ve been lucky enough to photograph sweet little Grace since she came into the world, and her second birthday shoot did not disappoint!

As with all my little ones, when they’re comfortably walking I like to encourage our sessions to be in the great outdoors, we are so lucky in Surrey to have so many places, and this time we headed to Ockham Common, a place Sarah and Paul walk their dogs so it felt like home to them. Grace is SO full of character and giggles I don’t think any of us stopped laughing once during this session! She is an absolute joy to photograph and I can’t wait for the next one.

Harry – Family photography

Woodland Family Photography

Cheeky little Harry was celebrating his second birthday for our woodland family photography session. Harry was my first ever newborn and I’ve been lucky enough to know his Mum since my schooldays! Harry is full of character and relished in the slightly damp conditions we were given for his November shoot! I LOVED his bright yellow jacket though and it proved the perfect contrast for our surroundings.

Living in Surrey I’m extremely lucky to have access to so many wooded areas, I always try and find somewhere different to explore with my families. This time we headed to a secluded part of the Sheepleas, an area close to my home. As you can see my sessions with little ones are really focused on them being themselves, playing, mucking about, and I try to involve the parents as much as possible! It’s so rare to have both parents in the photo with children which is why I feel this job is so important, they grow so blooming quick! Here are a few from my lovely session with Harry and his folks.
