Evie & Benj – Family shoot

A beautiful family shoot in Richmond, Surrey.

I first met Evie when she was actually a bump! Her mother, Sarah, was a bridesmaid for me for one of my weddings a few years ago, and I was thrilled when Sarah asked me to come and capture them as a family after Evie was born. Fast forward three years or so, and I was delighted to be reunited with such a lovely family who were now four! Look at little Benji!! What a dude!

We headed to Richmond park for this shoot. It’s so nice to be able to get outdoors for shoots, especially to let little ones run around exploring. They usually feel much more relaxed and more themselves this way, and allows me to capture them naturally. We had a blast playing in the Autumn leaves and beautiful Indian Summer light. Autumn is by far my favourite time for family sessions! If you fancy some updated photos of your family, please get in touch! I’ll leave you with my favourite ones from this shoot…x

Theo & Lottie

Family photography

Getting the call from a mother letting you know their second has arrived is oh such a lovely moment! I last photographed dear little Theo as a newborn a few years ago and WHAT a cheeky gorgeous chappy he’s grown into! He was so sweet with his new baby sister Lottie, as well as excited to be part of the action again too!

There is something rather special in being able to capture siblings when they’re still so little. It’s not easy for the older child and I know the parents are often worried about jealousy, but in most cases, and this one, they usually relish in being able to cuddle and hold the younger child. Theo was so gentle and tender with Lottie, who herself was a total doll, so well behaved for our session, much like her brother when he was the same age! Kudos to their Mum and Dad who are clearly wonderful, loving parents!

I absolutely LOVE shooting family photography in the home, being able to get those first moments in the nursery, as well as capturing them playing with their toys. It truly is an honour, and I can’t wait to head back next time to see how much they’ve grown again! Here are some of my favourites from our session earlier this year.

Heidi – Newborn Photography

Newborn Photography Surrey

Getting an email from previous wedding clients letting me know that they’re due an addition to the family is the BEST feeling! And this week I’ve taken bookings for three more previous couples newborn shoots so I felt it was time I blogged one of my favourites of 2018 so far! Lovely Lottie and Russ were married in 2015 where I was the proud photographer for their day, I’ve been lucky enough to see them on a couple of other occasions since and very excited to be photographing Lottie’s sister Rose’s wedding in a few months time too! To say it was an honour to meet their absolutely beautiful new daughter Heidi is an understatement. She is just perfect!

Heidi was good as gold for us and I concentrated on capturing lots of natural moments of the family in their new home and nursery. This precious newborn stage goes so unbelievably fast so I feel incredibly lucky to be invited in to meet babies at such a young age. I’ve been busy with lots of newborns since the start of the year and very excited to have a couple each month going forward, if you’re interested in a newborn photography session and aren’t sure how it works, drop me a note and I’ll send over my information brochure!

Thank you again Lottie and Russ for asking me to capture such wonderful memories for you, it’s always a pleasure, and I can’t wait to see you again soon. xxx
